“Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ was inspired by the name of our country” – Peruvian Government Reacts

Basking in pride and the euphoria of Fireboy DML’s mellifluous hit ‘Peru’ remix,  which features Grammy award winner Ed Sheeran, Peruvian Government claims the hit single was inspired by the name of their country.

The South American country in a tweet insinuated that Fireboy may have gotten his inspiration for the smash hit track from their country’s name.

They however encouraged its citizens to listen to “Peru Remix” with the British singer, Ed Sheeran.

The South American country tweeted:

“PERU PARA, PERU PERU PARA!!! Seems like @edsheeran and @fireboydml were inspired by our country to launch their newest hit?”

Have you already listened to it? It’s called “Peru” and sounds really catchy! #MarcaPerú #Peru #EdSheeran”.

Dropped 24th December, the remix in its release had over 1million views in less than 24hours. Hours after dropping the highly accepted remix of his hit single ‘Peru’, Fireboy DML wasted no time to dish out the official music video, directed by Gabriella Kingsley.
