“Go and sin no more is not a pardon” – Kemi Olunloyo reacts to De General’s Release from NDLEA

Media Personality and controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo decided to lecture comedian De General following his release from National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) custody.

NDLEA operatives arrested the comedian on January 12th, after which he was convicted alongside a cinematographer, Caleb William for unlawful possession of 15 grams of Cannabis Sativa and 14grams of tramadol.

Justice Osiagor held that the volume of substance was minimal and would rather convict the defendants and caution them, rather than sentence them so the defendants were cautioned to “go and sin no more”.

Reacting to his conviction, Olunloyo who had earlier taken sides with the drug law enforcement agency threw subtle shades at Basketmouth and Mr. Macaroni, whilst noting that being convicted will affect him when it comes to acquiring travel visas, endorsements, and other opportunities.

She said;

“Wake up people!

Judge Osiagor convicted Comedian DeGeneral of drug Trafficking without a sentence.

“Go and sin no more” is not a pardon or a slap on the wrist.

It’s actually a harsh lesson for the Tramadol trafficker using real tablets as a prop for a skit.

How did he obtain 200 sachets of a control substance narcotic?

Who will give him travel visas, endorsements and opportunities?

Basketmouth and Mr. Macaroni are silent now about their junior colleague.

I’m not as interested in the marijuana as the highly addictive prescription drugs.

He needs to repair his image quickly by enrolling into a drug education community programme.
