Harry Kane hit brace for Tottenham in dramatic win over Man City

Premier league leaders, Manchester City were treated to a shocking defeat by Antonio Conte’s Tottenham, as Harry Kane, rose to the occasion in the action packed encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

Spurs took an early lead through Dejan Kulusevski’s, barely four minutes into the game, but City Captain of the day, Ilkay Gundogan, leveled things up for the home side heading into the break.

With Pep’s men having more possession on their side before the break, it was easy to think they’ll pounce on the visitors after the break, however, it was Tottenham who took the lead, again, through Harry Kane in the 59th minute, off a Son assist.

City thought they had salvaged a point when Riyad Mahrez converted a penalty awarded after a VAR review, but a stoppage-time header from Harry Kane, saw, Spurs, deservedly, go home with all three points, much to the utter delight of the traveling fans.

The result reduced City’s points at the top to 6, ahead of second place Liverpool who won their match 3-1 against Norwich.
