Singer Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong was picked up by the operatives of the Lagos Police Command upon his arrival at the Muritala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja.
This comes a few days after he called out music executive, Soso Soberekon on a live podcast, alleging that Soso Soberekon made an attempt on his life.
“If you see Soso now, you’ll say Soso is my friend. Soso is not my friend, Soso is my enemy. He sent people to come and kill me in Port Harcort, no jokes. Ask my team, ask everyone”, Harrysong said during an interview on the Frankly Speaking podcast partly hosted by comedian, Nedu.
Responding to the allegation, Soberekon on his Instagram page slammed Harrysong with a lawsuit. And demanded a retraction of the statement, an apology and N500,000,000 in compensation.
Speaking further, Soberekon said, “As a matter of fact, I always mind my business, stay in my lane and put smiles on people’s faces. It is very disappointing that Harrysong will make such a false, reckless and defamatory statement.”
Without further ado, Harrysong was arrested this morning immediately he landed and the singer’s phone was seized at the point of arrest.
Police sources told the publication that he will be questioned over the matter and might be released or detained further depending on the outcome of their investigation.
In a new update, Harrysong confirmed his arrest in an Instagram post which reads:
“I got arrested as I landed in Lagos my phone has been seized, and they won’t allow me to communicate with my people”.
