Higuain Parts Ways With Juventus, Joins David Beckham’s Club

Argentine striker, Gonzalo Higuain has joined David Beckham’s Major League Soccer franchise Inter Miami as a free agent.

The former Real Madrid and Napoli forward parted ways with Serie A champions, Juventus yesterday by mutual consent.

Juventus who paid the €90m release clause to sign Higuain from Napoli in 2016, will lose approximately €18.3 along side the striker who had ensured unsuccessful loans at AC Milan and Chelsea before returning to Turin last season.

The 32-year-old who was told by Juve’s new coach Andrea Pirlo he was no longer part of the nine-time Serie A champions’ plans had to look elsewhere and Inter Miami had their arms wide open, so he embraced them.

Higuan is a top class striker in his own right, so it’s no wonder why some Inter Miami fans are excited to have him.

But, considering his somewhat recent decline in performance, could David Beckham be making a mistake by signing him?
