“I Feel Confident” Says Selena Gomez, Showing Off Her Kidney Transplant Scar.

American singer, Selena Marie Gomez, underwent a kidney transplant in 2017 and had been doing everything possible to hide the scar it left behind.

With the fear of no one to help her go through the transplant process, her best friend, Francia Raisa, who has said on several occasions that she got her back any day any time, stepped in at the very moment Selena needed people around her.

According to Selena in an interview, she was already done with life as she had given up on so many things knowing that she had a kidney disease and couldn’t ask anyone to sacrifice theirs to help save her life. Her BFF, Francia, didn’t think twice, giving up one of her kidneys. Selena was shocked and went all emotional on how Francia saved her life.

Gomez, after recovery, tried not to wear clothes or bikini’s that will end up revealing the scars from the surgery. After 3 years of hiding the scar, Selena could not take it anymore as she took to her Instagram page to share a beautiful photo of herself in a blue bikini, showing off the scar. In the post shared, she wrote:

 “When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through…and I m proud of that.”
