“I feel like I had agoraphobia”- Kim Kardashian Compares Post-Pandemic Anxiety to Her Paris Robbery
Kim Kardashian opened up about her Post-Quarantine Anxiety and how the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent quarantine impacted her recovery from her traumatic Paris robbery in 2016.
In an exclusive bonus clip from the KKW reality series, Kim recalled the first time she and her now-estranged husband Kanye West left their $60M mansion during the pandemic for dinner at Nobu Malibu in 2020.
“I came to Malibu like, not to long ago and went to Nobu. Like, I have not left my house really since quarantine. I was so freaked out. People were trying to come up to Kanye [West] and like, talk to him and come up to me and ask for photos”, Kim confided in Khloe.
She said that the swarm of fans and paparazzi added to her stress and she would only take a pic with fans if they used a “selfie stick and want to do it six feet away,” but her first post-quarantine outing led to “high anxiety on another level”.
“I feel like I had agoraphobia definitely after my robbery in Paris. Like definitely would stay in, hated to go out, I didn’t want anybody to know where I was and didn’t want to be seen”, Kim disclosed.
She revealed she is clearly still suffering from PTSD stemming from being robbed at gunpoint of $10.8M worth of jewelry at France’s No Address Hotel in 2016.
“I felt I was just getting back into it, I had just gone to Paris, just started traveling and then quarantine happened and now I’m, like, such a freak all over again and never want to leave,” Kim disclosed.
Agoraphobia is the fear of places and situations that might cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment. It is an anxiety disorder that often develops after one or more panic attacks.
