“I have dated someone that I was taking care of”- BBN Mercy Eke, says as she denies dating Ike Onyema
Reality TV star, Mercy Eke has denied dating her former housemate, Ike Onyema.
Back in 2019, Mercy and Ike met on the Big Brother Naija ”Pepper Dem” Edition of the show and they began dating on the show. Their relationship continued even after the show ended with Mercy taking the prize money.
They got so serious that they even had a reality show called the ”Mercy and Ike”, but finally went their separate ways in 2021.
Mercy however, in a recent podcast with Nedu Wazobia and Pretty Mike stated that she had dated someone she was instead taking care of.
“I have dated someone I was actually taking care of,” Mercy Eke said.
The house chorused that they knew who she was referring to and subsequently asked her about Ike.
Stating that she could only speak for herself, Eke denied knowing of any relationship with the named reality TV personality.
When asked if she was in a relationship with Ike, Eke said: “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
Mike then rephrased the question and chipped in: “he allegedly said that you were his girlfriend. So you never dated him?”
Eke insisted: “I can speak for myself. I can’t speak for anybody. I still don’t know what you are talking about.”
The house would then teasingly argue that it might have been a case of one-sided dating.
