“I Never Tried to Snatch Wizkid’s Diamond Necklace”- Fan who Wizkid slapped cries out
While at Big Wiz ‘Vibes on the beach’ show in Lagos, Superstar Wizkid didn’t take it likely with an overzealous fan who thought he could do the most.
According to a viral video, Wizkid charged at a hyperactive fan who tried to touch him and snatch his Diamond Necklace. The video captured the moment Wizkid stuck out his fist at the fan who tried to bypass his escorts to meet him.
This won’t be the first time Wizkid has been harassed by a hyperactive fan and it is only right for him to take preventive measures.
After the incident, the supposed fan in the viral video has come out to say that his intention wasn’t to snatch the singer’s diamond necklace as alleged. He said he is a big fan of Big Wiz and traveled all the way from Osun state just to come and express his love to the singer.
In an Instagram clip shared by the fan, he said;
“I never tried to snatch Wizkid’s Diamond Necklace, I am a Big fan, I travelled all the way from Osun state to Lagos just to see Wizkid because he is my favourite artiste. I was only trying to show love to him and get him to listen to my song. All my body is still paining me from the beating I received from Wizkid and his bodyguard”.
It will be recalled that Wizkid was dragged by his fans until he fell down at his concert in Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
Robert Icon, one of the two excited fans who dragged Wizkid on stage during his concert in Abuja also gave the excuse that he is a die-hard fan of the superstar and he wanted Big Wiz to recognize him as an up-and-coming artiste.
