Nigerian-British singer and songwriter, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burnaboy, has continued to brag about his various awards, which include the Grammys as he likens himself to a gorilla in the music industry.
Burnaboy, known to be one of the biggest and most successful African artists, rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E. He has since then, released major hits which has earned him series of awards. The 29-year-old artist made the rare distinction of becoming a winner of the prestigious Grammy award in the Best Music Award for his album “Twice as Tall” as a solo artist.
He took to Twitter to recall his glorious moment and explain that people should not consider the beating of his chest as a show of pride but should rather see him as a gorilla.
His tweet: ” Everybody should definitely take it personal. If I dey beat my chest, I misunderstand/ no be pride. I be Gorilla”.
The ‘African Giant’s tweet regardless of the explanation he gave elicited positive and negative commentaries for likening himself to a gorilla. Here are some reactions:

No doubt u are a talented artiste but u need to improve ur attitude cos fame is temporary but character creates a legacy. Be humble.”
