Kanye West Regrets Spending $13.2 Million On His Presidential Campaign.

According to a new report from People, American rapper Kanye West reportedly spent $13.2 million, including $12m of his own money, on his failed 2020 presidential attempt.

The rapper who announced his interest in the 2021 United States presidential election took to his Twitter page on July 4, 2020, to announce his political party, known as the “Independence party.”

On July 16, 2020, the campaign filed a Statement of Candidacy with the Federal Election Commission. After the approval, Kanye reportedly received around 57,000 votes across the 12 states he was in the running.

According to a Federal Election Commission report, Kanye west contributed $12.5 million of his own money. It raised a little over $2 million from outside contributions to fund his Presidential bid.

The report also showed that the rapper had raised $14.5m for his campaign and was left with $1.3m after all expenses were carried out.
