Popular Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel has finally been released from Tanzanian police custody.
The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa disclosed this on Monday night, August 8. She said:
“Kizz Daniel has been released. His legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return back to Nigeria.”
Kizz Daniel was arrested on Monday morning for failing to show up for a paid concert in the country.
He was scheduled to perform at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania as part of his Afro Classic World Tour and suddenly refused to perform with claims that he didn’t have his outfit.
The fans, some of who paid as much as $5000 for tables, later ripped the hall apart in frustration which led to his arrest by the police.
It would be recalled that this is the third time Kizz Daniel is being called out by fans over cancellation of his shows in the last one month.
He was first dragged on July 7 after he stood fans up for over five hours at his concert in DMV. He was again dragged by his fans after he canceled his Denver concert abruptly on July 28, 2022.
