Kourtney Kardashian confirms engagement to Kourtney Kardashian
American socialite and model, Kourtney Kardashian and her boyfriend, Travis Barker, are officially engaged after Barker popped the question on Sunday.
Travis proposed on the beach in Montecito, California, inside a heart-shaped circle of red roses and candles, as the sunset over the ocean. Later, they celebrated with friends and family at an intimate engagement dinner.
The 42-year-old reality star took to her Instagram page to share photos of the moment Travis popped the question and captioned it “forever @travisbarker”.
Barker is said to have pulled out all the stops before presenting her with an engagement ring and asking her to be his wife.
E! News reports that the proposal took place just as the sun was setting at 6:30 p.m. and that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson were both presents.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with E! News, “Kourtney looked very surprised to see Khloe and Tristan there.
“Travis escorted Kourtney down to the beach, where he had red and white florals set up in the shape of a heart. It looked very romantic.
“I could see Kourtney smiling from ear to ear and put her hand over her mouth looking surprised. The family cheered for them and went back into the hotel.”
Kourtney’s sisters wasted no time in giving fans a first glimpse at her sparkly diamond ring and soon after, thousands of supporters posted messages of goodwill on their accounts.
Kim Kardashian celebrated the couple by sharing a video in which the bride-to-be flaunts a diamond so grand and sparkly, with the caption, “KRAVIS FOREVER,” along with a diamond ring emoji.
Shortly after, Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram story to share a few photos from the engagement dinner including a cropped screenshot of the new ring.
A source told ET on Sunday that the pair couldn’t be happier about taking this next step in their relationship.
“Kourtney and Travis are over the moon. Getting engaged was always their natural next step and they are so thrilled,” the source said. “The proposal was gorgeous and romantic, and everything Kourtney wanted.”
“Their families are beyond happy and excited for them too. Their kids are very much looking forward to being an official big happy family,” the source added. “Kourtney and Travis really feel like they’ve found their perfect partner and match. They can’t wait for this next step in their journey as a couple and to spend the rest of their lives together.”
Kourtney, 42, and Travis, 45, have been longtime friends and neighbors, and started dating in January. Kourtney shares three children; 11-year-old Mason, 8-year-old Penelope and 6-year-old Reign with her ex, Scott Disick. Meanwhile, Travis is dad to two children with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler- 17-year-old Landon and 15-year-old Alabama.
