La Liga: Comeback victory moves Real Madrid to top of table
Real Madrid was forced to come from behind twice to defeat Celta Vigo 5-2 on their return to the Santiago Bernabeu with Karim Benzema bagging a hat-trick, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side moved to the top of the La Liga table.
Santi Mina gave the visitors an early four minutes lead, before Benzema equalized, however, Franco Cervix restored the lead for Celta Vigo leading into the break.
After the break, the French man leveled things once again, then Vinicius Junior added a third for Real before teenage debutant, Eduardo Camavinga, bagged a debut goal six minutes after coming on.
Benzema sealed his hat-trick with an 87th-minute goal, as Madrid moved to the top of the table on goal difference, level on points with Valencia and defending Champions, Atletico Madrid.
