La Liga: Real Madrid left it late against Espanyol

Real Madrid had to dig deep to take all three points from Espanyol with Karim Benzema’s late brace been the different in the encounter that saw Espanyol square up to the defending champions. 

Vinicius Jr gave Madrid the lead early in the game but Joselu levelled just before the break.
With the game open to both teams, it’s was the visitors that latched on to their chances with Benzema bagged two quick fire goals late into stoppage time.

Ancelotti’s men are currently joint table leaders, having won all the three games so far.
