Lewandowski scores landmark 601 career goals as Barcé defeat Villarreal
Robert Lewandowski bagged his 600th and 601st goals of his career as Barcelona secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Villarreal.
Xavi’s men bounced back from a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid on Sunday, scoring three goals in seven minutes before the break.
Lewy got his brace in the 31st and 35th minute before, Ansu Fati made it three in the 38th minute.
Barcelona are second on the La Liga log, three points behind leaders, Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Lewandowski is now the third player, aside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to pass 600 career goals since 2000.
Barcé’s next game is on Sunday against Athletic Club.
