Ligue 1: PSG suffer shocking defeat to Rennes

Paris St-Germain saw their 100% start in Ligue 1 come to an end as Rennes saw off the French Ligue 1 heavyweights with a deserved 2-0 victory.

Gatetan Laborde and Flavien Tait were the goal scorers for Bruno Genesio’s Rennes side who had only won twice in Ligue 1 heading into Sunday’s game. 
Meanwhile, PSG who hasn’t lost a Ligue 1 game since April, when they were beaten by last season’s eventual champions Lille, were completely shambolic as they failed to register a single shot on target, despite having Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the starting line up.

In what can only be described as a very bad days for the Parisians, Mbappe did find the back of the net on the second half, but the goal was ruled out for offside by the video assistant referee (VAR).
The result leaves PSG top of Ligue 1 on 24 points, six points clear of Lens, while Rennes move up to seventh.
