Liverpool overcome Newcastle in late comeback victory
Liverpool didn’t get as easy as they did over the weekend when they put 9 past Bournemouth, as Newcastle put up a very good fight and were at the verge of getting a point, but for Fabio Carvalho’s last second winner.
Liverpool fell behind in the 38th minute when Newcastle’s debutant, Alexander Isak put them in front, a lead the visitors maintained into the break.
Jurgen Klopp’s trailed the visitors till Roberto Firmino got an equalizer in the 61st minute.
The game looked set for a draw but substitute Carvalho, took advantage of a poorly cleared corner to snatch three points for the Red, much to the delight of the home side.
