LVMH, Suspends Rihanna Ready-To-Wear Fashion Line.

The ready-to-wear fashion line by American singer and entrepreneur Rihanna, which was said to have been launched in 2019, is said to have been suspended.

This announcement was made on Wednesday, February 10, by the French luxury giant LVMH. The suspension was said to have been made to focus on the cosmetics and lingerie parts of her Fenty brand.

In a statement released by LVMH, they stated they are putting the Fenty fashion house on hold “pending better conditions.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna has also gotten top US investors, securing a huge funding deal for her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, which is making LVMH focus more on expanding her Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin products.

Not just that, that was revealed that the singer’s partnership with LVMH was the first time she had built a brand from scratch since Christian Lacroix in 1987 and was part of a strategy to reach more millennials.

The report gathered from Fashion magazine WWD stated that the Fenty Maison is yet to make any post on their Instagram page since the start of 2021. Its e-commerce site would stop operating in the coming weeks.

Rihanna is also not the first artist LVMH is collaborating with. They have also collaborated with other top American artists; Kanye West, for its sportswear brand Adidas, and Pharrell Williams Chanel.
