Top Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga has revealed how he missed out on Oxlade shortly after signing Blaqbonez.
In a chat with Beat FM’s Midday Show, the rapper talked about his relationship with Oxlade and how he almost signed him but ended up missing out. Abaga revealed that shortly after signing Blaqbonez, who is close friends with Oxlade, he was going to sign Oxlade but ended up losing him to another label so he had to respect the code and let him go even though he is too talented.
“I signed Blaqbonez in 2016 or 17. As soon as he came, he said Yo, Oxlade. I think we had a meeting. On the way to the meeting, I saw Bizzle post “The Plug with Ox”. You know industry, there’s mutual respect and guidelines. I just said ah! Another one bites the dust. He’s just so good and it’s been amazing to see him grow and blossom”, Abaga said.
Oxlade featured on a song, ‘Kolo’ with M.I’s good friend, Ice prince. After which M.I Abaga recently featured Oxlade on a single titled, “All My Life” which got very good reviews.
