Man City, Liverpool share the spoils in a classic EPL encounter

Manchester City’s advantage at the top of the Premier League is still a slim one point after the Citizens were held to a 2-2 draw by second-placed, Liverpool in Sunday’s epic encounter.

Living up to its build-up anticipation, the game produced a pulsating first half, as Kevin de Bruyne’s deflected strike gave the host the lead before Diogo Jota swiftly brought the visitors on leveled terms before Gabriel Jesus restored the lead for City, nine minutes before the break.

Two minutes after the break, Sadio Mane, equalized again, later on in the game, Raheem Sterling’s goal which could have made the difference was ruled out for offside as both sides eventually settled for a point apiece.
