Manchester City comes from behind to retain EPL title in a dramatic finale

The final day of the Premier League was a pulsating one, as Manchester City staged an epic and dramatic comeback, slotting in three goals in five minutes to beat Aston Villa and retain the Premier League title.

Pep Guardiola’s side needed a win to secure their fourth title in five seasons, but the chances looked to be slipping away as goals from Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho at both ends of the interval put Villa 2-0 ahead and in control.

Just when it seemed like Steven Gerrard might have handed his former team, Liverpool, the title, Manchester City roared to life as Ilkay Gundogan, came off the bench to pull one back for City in the 76th minute.

Two minutes later, Rodri made it two, before Gundogan, struck again and sent the Etihad into wild celebrations, leaving Pep in tears.

The nerve-wracking game means Liverpool finished second, one point behind City, despite securing a comfortable win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
