Manchester City extends lead at the top with narrow win over Chelsea

Manchester City’s strengthened their hold on the Premier League title race with 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Etihad Stadium.

Though City were the better side, the game stayed goalless till the 70th minute when Belgian midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne set home a superb strike to break the deadlock.

Chelsea had their chances to both go ahead and get back in the game, but failed to convert them as the lone goals saw Pep Guardiola’s side stretch their lead to 13 points ahead of second place Liverpool who have two games at hand.
