Manchester United book spot in Carabao Cup fourth round

Manchester United are through to the next round of the Carabao Cup after seeing off Aston Villa 4-2 in the third round tie at Old Trafford on Thursday.

After playing a goalless first half,  the visitors took the lead twice after the break, thanks to Ollie Watkins’ opener and Diogo Dalot’s own goal, which cancelled out Antony Martial’s equalizer.

Sure to avoid a replay of last weekend’s defeat, Erik Ten Hag’s men rallied from behind to turn things around courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay.

United will play BURLEY in the fourth-round tie of the competition next month.

While, Manchester City will be up against current holders, Liverpool.
