Mayor of London reacts to the stampede at Asake’s London concert

Mayor of London has reacted to the stampede which occurred at Asake’s UK music tour at the O2 Academy Brixton.

The stampede broke out shortly after the singer started performing on stage. People broke into the entrance without following due process.

Two concert-goers were reportedly stabbed outside of the venue as a multitude of people struggled to get through.

The police confirmed that four people have been hospitalized and are in critical condition due to the crash, while several others suffered varying degrees of injuries.

In a post, Khan expressed sadness at the incident and promised to ensure that answers were provided to their loved ones.

The Mayor said, “My thoughts are with all those affected by the awful incident at Brixton Academy.

“Eight people were taken to hospital, with four in critical condition.

“An urgent investigation is underway and I remain in close contact with the Met Commissioner since last night.

“I’m heartbroken that this could happen to young Londoners enjoying a night out in our city and urge anyone with any information to contact the police on 101.

“I won’t rest until we have the answers their loved ones and the local community need and deserve.”
