Mbappe bags brace as PSG defeat Juventus in Champions League opener
Paris St-Germain began their 2022/2023 Champions League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Juventus.
French forward, Kylian Mbappe was the star of the game as his first half double was enough to give PSG the edge in the highly anticipated game between the heavyweights in Group H.
Eight minutes after the break, substitute Weston McKennie headed home a consolation goal for Juventus, but that was all the Italian giants could get out of the encounter, as they failed to, at the very least, salvage a point.
Sevilla 0 – 4 Manchester City
Elsewhere in the champions league, Erling Haaland also found the back of the net twice, as Manchester City kicked off their champions league campaign with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Spanish side, Sevilla in Group G.
Phil Foden and Ruben Dias were also on the score sheet for City.
