Mohbad’s Widow Speaks After Pathologist Revealed Details Of Singer’s Autopsy Report

Wunmi, the wife to the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has taken to social media to make a plea to her late husband after the pathologist in charge of his autopsy revealed that the cause of his death cannot be ascertained.

Empire Africa earlier reported that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wahab Shittu, while addressing journalists after the Coroner’s inquest on Wednesday, disclosed that the toxicology test carried out on the late music star revealed that his cause of death could not be ascertained.

The lawyer revealed that the pathologist, in his submission in court, said that at the time the test was carried out, the body of the singer had already decomposed.

He said: According to him, the cause of death cannot be determined. He gave a lot of reasons. He said by the time they conducted the test, the body had decomposed and that it is not possible for them to determine the cause of death. So the summary he is saying is that the cause of death cannot be ascertained and when you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear, no particular reason.”

After the crooner inquest sitting and details of the test, Wunmi took to her social media page on Wednesday night to share a photo of Mohbad with the caption ‘Ilerioluwa masun’, which is translated as ‘Ilerioluwa do not sleep’.

Karimot, the elder sister of late singer Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, also tendered an apology to the singer’s father.

Taking to her Instagram story, she apologised for things she said or posted about him and his family. Bearing no grudge against them, she made him know that she wished him the best and prays God grants his son eternal rest.

She stated that as much as she doesn’t want to be involved in his family issues, she wants him to take heart and allow his late son rest.

“I sincerely apologise to Baba Mohbad. I apologise for everything I might have said or posted on my platform. I wish your family the best, and may God grant the deceased eternal rest. In as much as I don’t want to be involved, Baba e jo e fi owo wonu(pls take heart). Let Promise go and rest. Gbogbo idile Aloba, e ku oro omo”.

Back in April, Karimot had distanced herself from Omowunmi, vowing not to have anything to do with the late singer.

Things fell out between the sisters after Karimot blasted Mohbad’s father over his calls for DNA, claiming that Mohbad was constantly infecting Wunmi with sexually transmitted diseases, which she always treated with antibiotics.

Debunking her statement, Omowunmi urged the public to help her preserve the lovely memory of her husband. She made it known that she had never told anyone that her late husband gave her an STD, belonged to a cult, was on drugs, or had physically assaulted her.

Days back, Karimot had boldly declared that she was no longer affiliated with Wunmi, her sister and their mother.

She narrated how Wunmi had lied to people about certain things and had backstabbed her despite standing by her after her husband’s death.
