Mr Macaroni Receives Death Threat Over Lekki Toll Gate Reopening Protest

Comedian Debo Adebayo, popularly called Mr Macaroni has notified the general public over a death threat he received from a man identified as Prince Tiamiyu Lawal.

It all started after the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) announced that tolling activities will resume at the Lekki toll gate by April, as directed by the Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The government had urged the people of the state, especially residents of Lekki and Ikoyi to show understanding ahead of the reopening of the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge toll plaza by the Limited (LCC).

Mr Macaroni, who wasn’t impressed with their decision was at the forefront of leading a revolt against the reopening of the toll gate.

He had tweeted: “The Lekki Estate Residents and Stakeholders Association Chairman has announced the decision of all Residents which is NO TO TOLLING!!!”

Reacting to his tweet, a troll came at him asking him is business with the toll gate and if he even understands the importance of tolling.

Replying her, Mr Macaroni made her know that he lives in Lekki, has an office there and has 15 permanent staffs and 100 on and off crew members.

Another user, Prince Tiamiyu Lawal opined that Mr Macaroni would end his life untimely because of his foolishness. He also went as far as to threaten to kill him if seen at the Toll Gate for a protest today.

In Lawal’s words, “This Macaroni of a guy will most likely end his life untimely because of foolishness… Very senseless unpatriotic bastard… What’s his business with Lekki Toll Gate… I will kill him on sight…”

Mr Macaroni immediately raised alarm and he called on the Nigerian Police and Lagos State Government to take action.  According to Mr Macaroni, Tiamiyu Lawal’s threat is one of many threats he receives regularly.

“This is one of the many threats I receive regularly. Nigerian Police and Lagos State Government… I love you and I know you love me too”, Macaroni wrote.
