My 10th album might be my last — Olamide
Nigerian hip-hop artist, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji is already planning an early retirement from the music industry.
Olamide says his next studio album, ‘Unruly’ which is his 10th is 95 percent ready.
Olamide believes he has had a “mad run” with his musical achievements thus far. While announcing the near completion of his next project, he tweeted;
“Next Album ‘Unrul’ 95% ready. Release date, I don’t know. Taking my time to make it the best ever.
Probably my last album, though I’ll drop singles once in a blue moon when I feel like it. It’s been a mad ass run! Giving albums back to back.”
Reacting to Olamide’s big news, ace rapper M.I. Abaga confessed that Olamide is a GOAT in the Nigerian Rap Business and his albums & singles will always remain top notch, evergreen.
Abaga tweeted; “A deep joy fills my heart anytime I see him get his flowers! Our goats had an amazing singles run. He matched them and he dropped albums as well!
Olamide has had a total of nine studio albums. After releasing ‘YBNL’, his second studio album, he launched YBNL Nation, his independent label imprint.
Unruly’, which is yet to get a release date, will be coming after ‘UY Scuti’, Olamide’s ninth album released in 2021.
