New year, Emphatic Arsenal

It snowed heavily at The Hawthorns on Saturday but that did not stop Mikel Arteta’s resurgent Arsenal from picking up form right off from where they stopped last year with an emphatic 4-0 win against West Brom.

The Gunners took the lead 23 minutes into the game through Kieran Tierney’s fantastic effort.

Five minutes later, the in-form English teenager, Bukayo Saka made it two.

After the break, Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette tripled the score and quadrupled it with a brace as Arsenal recorded their third successive win in the league after failing to win the previous seven, moving them to three points behind sixth-place Chelsea who play Man City today and giving their fans hope of a better 2021.

Meanwhile, the defeat left West Brom at 19th on the log six points off the drop zone after playing four matches under new manager Sam Allardyce.
