Nigeria kicks off AFCON campaign with win over Egypt.

Nigeria got off to an impressive start at the Africa Cup of Nations, with a 1-0 victory over one of the tournament’s favorites, Egypt. 

 Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal of the game, a stunning volley in the 30th minute in a game that saw the Eagles outshine the Mo Salah led Egypt and are top of their group.

Salah had little or no influence in the game and will be looking to stage a better outing when the Pharaohs take on  Guinea-Bissau for their next match of the tournament.
Meanwhile,  Nigeria will face Sudan on Saturday for their second group stage game.
