Finally, the wait is over, as DMW first lady Liya drops her first music video under Davido music world wide record label.
You’ll recall that on October 6, 2020, davido took to his Instagram page to officially announce Liya as his first female artist signed to his record label, as he addresses her as DMW’s first lady. The post reads:
“Welcome officially to the party! DMW 1st lady! @yes_liya from here it’s onwards and upwards! On this day I make this promise to you. Imma make you a global star! Never 🧢 !! #30BG cc @bfaandco 🖊 📝”
8 weeks after Liya was signed to DMW records, she has officially dropped her first single as well as music video “Melo” under DMW records, which she featured davido.
Davido all hyped about the song, took to his Instagram page, sharing a short clip of the music video, wrote:
“The moment has finally come. Let the world know! DMW First Lady @yes_liya, first single ‘MELO’ out midnight! I need ya’ll to listen to this with your truest ears and just enjoy. Brought to you by yours truly! #30BG shit! ITS YOUR TIME LIL SIS”
