“No Album Until Further Notice” – Burna Boy Declares

Grammy Award winner and self-proclaimed African Giant has declared that he won’t be releasing any album till further notice so fans shouldn’t look forward to a new album.

Burnaboy, via his Instagram story, broke the heart of many fans as he made this announcement.

“I might decide not to drop an album for a long time. In fact, you know what, no album till further notice.”

In April 2021, Burna Boy teased an August 2021 release for his new album. But having released two singles, ‘Kilometre’ and ‘Question’ with Don Jazzy in 2021, he put the plan on hold.

Burna Boy is currently on tour for his last album, Twice as Tall which dropped last year. So far, he has touched the O2 arena in London with a sold out performance. He also performed in Greece recently and then back to England, where he famously watched Manchester United’s game before performing on stage later that day with Paul Pogba.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy’s 2018 hit song Ye has been awarded a Gold Certification in the United Kingdom (UK) by the BRITs Award organizers.

Ye was released as part of Burna Boy’s 2018 album, Outside which signaled his first real foray into international waters. Ye grew really big and attracted the attention of the world’s best. It was not long before he got a Grammy nomination for his next album, African Giant before securing Diddy as lead producer on his 2020 Grammy award-winning album, Twice as Tall.

In the last three years, Burna has released Outside, African Giant and Twice As Tall, which dropped in August 2020. A year without an album release would be Burna Boy’s first since 2017.
