Nollywood Actor, Karibi Fubara is Dead

Karibi Fubara, a prominent Nigerian actor, known for his major roles in God Calling, Quam’s Money, Castle and Castle, Royal Hibiscus Hotel and Smart Money Woman has kicked the bucket.

In 2020, Fubara revealed how he found out he had a large mid-stage kidney tumor/cancer. He also regularly shared his journey to recovery on Instagram. He announced that he had undergone a successful surgery that removed about 90 percent of the tumor.

His sister, Aya Eneli via her Twitter page announced his passing.

“My brother, Karibi Fubara, has joined the ancestral realm. I’m devastated, but not hopeless. He lived fully and with joy. Left a great body of work. Will be a powerful ancestor. I love you, #ChiefBlack. I do not own the rights to this song,” she wrote.

“He was a warrior, now he’s an angel in heaven. Rest my darling brother Karibi. We will only remember the good times” Ms. Fubara announced.

Mr. Karibi, who married a popular Nollywood stylist and costumier, Yolanda Okereke, in December 2018, rose to prominence after starring in Bodunrin ‘BB’ Sasore’s 2015 romantic drama series, ‘Before 30.’

He also grew famous for his outstanding roles in ‘Smart Money Woman’ (2021) and ‘God Calling’ (2018). He went on to star in several movies including ‘Quam’s Money’, ‘Castle and Castle’, ‘Royal Hibiscus Hotel’ and ‘Castle and Castle’ series which is currently showing on Netflix.
