Nollywood Actress Nse Ikpe-Etim Fires Back At A Fan, Who Called Her Out For Removing Her Womb.
Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe-Etim has reacted to a follower on Twitter, who asked her an insensitive question about getting rid of her womb.
The Twitter follower had asked that after the actress shared a photo of herself, that drew lots of complement. Well, while some were complimenting her outfit, some were more concerned about her womb.
The Twitter follower had asked:
“Why did you sell out your womb… And why are you to being fruitful to souls… Pls you need to make yourself fruitful and replenish. “
The actress responded:
“Dear Joy Vampire, may you be fruitful in common sense. May you be replenished in kindness. May your soul never know adversity.”
After much backlash from the actress fans, the follower who had asked such an offensive question, later apologized to the actress, and took down his tweet.
He twitted:
“Am sorry… It was an erroneous error… With all of my heart I apologize.”
The actress then replied him:
“No worries at all. How are you today? Good?”
You recall that in 2019, Nse Ikpe-Etim had revealed on social media that she got rid of her womb to save her life after she was diagnosed with Adenomyosis. Later in 2016, she also revealed that she cried bitterly after the doctor said she would have to remove her uterus to live everyday life.
She had twitted:
“I was told I couldn’t have kids,” she said at the time.
“And so, I had to have a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) to make me have a life again and to stop going through what I was going through. And I’m literarily telling women and men, it really doesn’t matter if you can’t bear children. What really matters is what you would do for the world, for the universe.”
