Obi has what it Takes to Resolve Nigeria’s Alarming Security Issues – Enenche

Maj-Gen John Enenche, a former Defense Media Coordinator, has said that the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has what it takes to resolve Nigeria’s alarming security issues.

Enenche stated this on Tuesday when he appeared on the Political Paradigm program on Channels Television. He claimed that he first met Obi in 2006 when he succeeded Chris Ngige as governor of Anambra State.

“As it were then, there was no Operation MESA in Onitsha in Anambra State. Criminals and agitators were doing whatever they liked. He made presentations and approved Operation MESA for him, and I was the operations commander.

“As it were, when he came, the problem was so serious that police were prevented from even doing their work inside Onitsha town. His Excellency, Peter Obi, when Operation MESA was permitted, all that we needed was provided,” he said.

Obi responded when asked if he could solve Nigeria’s security problems, “If what we did in Anambra State back then and even the police confirmed, yes, it will. I can guarantee that he will be in charge, in control, available around the clock, and passionate.

Enenche has recently been in the news after he expressed support for Obi. His inclusion on Obi’s presidential campaign list also caused controversy, which compelled the Labour Party to fire him from the campaign team.
