Popular comedian, Peteru Comedy dead from colon cancer

Ibadan-based comedian Owomoyela Nifemi, popularly known by his stage name, Peteru Comedy is dead.

The skit maker, who is well-known for his comic Yoruba take on Big Brother Naija, reportedly died of colon cancer on Wednesday, December 21.

It  was learnt that Peteru, said to be the only son in a family of seven, just buried his father last month.

Following the sad report, his colleagues in the entertainment industry, fans and followers, have taken to social media to mourn his sudden demise.

Fellow comedian, Lepacious Bose expressed her shock and fear for his sudden death.

She wrote, “Another one???? All these deaths leave me weak….

No naaaaa!!!!

I am tired! 

I am drained!!!

I am weak!!!

Just too many bad news back to back it’s crazy and crumbling!

Father Lord can we just have a break from all this pain and sadness this season? 

I seem to be crying more than am laughing…. 

Am really tired 💔💔💔💔💔

I just want to sleep for a very long time and hopefully everything will be back to normal when I wake up 💔💔💔
