Portable Apologises To Davido over Osun Election Saga

Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable has tendered his heartfelt apologies to ace singer Davido and fans over his attitude during the just concluded Osun state election.

It would be recalled that the duo were on opposing sides at the recently-concluded Osun gubernatorial election where Portable campaigned for Gboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Davido rooted for his uncle, Ademola Adeleke who later became elected under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Following their political differences, there were speculations that Davido unfollowed the ‘Zazuu’ crooner on Instagram over his support for APC, which made Portable diss Davido online via his Instagram account.

Portable, speaking in the Yoruba language said he wasn’t born from a wealthy family but he had made his father a wealthy man, unlike Davido, whose father is one of the richest men in the country.

In an attempt to put an end to their feud, Onitigbo of Tigbo-Ilu Land, Olabode Thomas-Fagbayi, the traditional ruler that conferred a chieftaincy title on Portable implored him to apologise to Davido publicly.

The monarch, Onitigbo of Tigbo addressed Portable alongside several of his subjects, in a church and instructed Portable to apologise and disregard all that had occurred between them during the Osun election.

Portable in response said that he has no bad blood towards Davido, he also made it clear that he was only in Osun to conduct a job he was contracted for.

He said: “There is nothing between me and Davido. I was called for a job there and I collected money. Davido and I do not have issues. Meanwhile, whatever happens, there is no problem. I am a child of God. I am not fighting with anyone. I am looking for money. Fans of Davido kindly forgive me. I am sorry.”
