Queen Elizabeth, Breaks Down, As She Announced The Death Of Her Husband Prince Philip

The royal family has lost a great virtue and personality, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, husband to the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth.

Prince Philip was said to have passed on, after spending 28 days in the hospital, since February when he was admitted for an infection and a pre-existing heart condition.

The Duke of Edinburgh spent his last days with his wife, the Queen, at Windsor Castle. he died at the age of 99.

Before his death, Prince Philip was the monarch’s rock during her 69-year reign. He was also married to Queen Elizabeth for 73 years.

The announcement of his death was made by Her Majesty the Queen early hours of today, April 9.

The statement released by Buckingham Palace states:

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will be made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”
