Nigerian Rapper, Panshak Zaman, better known as Ice Prince, has been released on bail from the Ikoyi correctional facility, after spending about six nights in prison.

The court had earlier granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 and asked him to provide two sureties in like sum.

His trial was stalled on Wednesday following the absence of the prosecution witnesses.

According to His lawyer, Folarin Dalmeida Ice Prince met the bail conditions before Thursday but his release was delayed due to the verification process.

“Yes, he (Ice Prince) was released yesterday (Thursday). He met the bail conditions even before Thursday but the verification process was what delayed his release,” he said.

The rapper’s trial was billed to start on Wednesday at the magistrate court sitting in the Ajah area of Lagos. But the court adjourned the case till October 24 after the prosecution counsel said his witnesses did not show up.
