Real Madrid continue perfect start to the season with win over Atletico in heated Derby

Real Madrid defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1 in a heated Madrid derby to continue thier perfect and impressive start in the title defence and retain top spot.

The La Liga champions took the lead 18 minutes into the game thanks to youngster, Rodrygo.
Federico Valverde struck in the rebound of Vinicius Jr’s shot to make it two in the 36th minute, as the visitors went into the break ahead. 

After the break, substitute, Mario Hermoso, grabbed one back for the hosts, giving them a glimmer of hope with 83 minutes gone. ..

Things soon went from bad to worse for Atletico as Hermoso got sent off for a second booking, following his challenge on Dani Ceballos
With their neighbours and arch rivals failing to cause any damage, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are now two points ahead of second placed, Barcelona.
