Real Madrid wins record-extending 14th Champions League title

Real Madrid extended their Champions League dominance to a record 14 titles, thanks to a narrow lone goal victory against Liverpool in 2021/2022  final, in Paris.

The highly anticipated game was a game of pride for both sides, with Liverpool looking to seek revenge for the 2018 loss and take their Champions League tally to seven, with Real Madrid aiming at etching their names in the record books for the umpteenth time.

After playing out a goalless first half with Jurgen Klopp’s side the best of both teams, Vinicius Jr took advantage of a counterattack and broke the deadlock in the 59th minute.

Liverpool tried to get back into the game, but Courtois was completely unplayable on the special and historical night, as Liverpool, once again, crumbled and bowed before Real Madrid.

The victory also means that Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has made history, as he became the first coach to win four champions league titles.
