She Took Her Things and Sneaked Out Of The House -Filmmaker Tchidi Tchikere finally Reveals why his Marriage to Actress Nuella Njubuigbo ended
Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie’s marriage to a second wife has triggered filmmaker Tchidi Tchikere to reveal the true reason his 7year old marriage to his colleague, Nuella Njubuigbo ended.
Yul Edochie has been under fire for taking a second wife, despite being married with four children. While everyone condemned Yul’s infidelity, Tchikere kept drumming support for him. Tchikere’s support earned him a backlash from an angry critic.
“See madness na…he is still better than you, at least he has stayed with one woman for 17 years…You can’t even keep one woman for 2weeks! Retard,” the critic Itohowo Eden wrote.
Angered by the post, Tchidi in response, revealed that he and Nuella’s marriage lasted for 7years until she took her things and sneaked out of the house without his consent.
“My first marriage lasted 11 years, my second lasted 7 years until she took her things and sneaked out of the house. The problem with some of you women is you think you run the world because men don’t talk. Maybe one day I’ll tell my story if I feel I really need the love of one-track-minded people like you. Now get off my page or shut up”. Tchidi fired back.
Nuella and Tchidi got married in a traditional wedding held in her family compound in Anambra State on March 29, 2014. They have a daughter together.
In 2021, it was observed that they’ve unfollowed each other on Instagram and they both debunked claims of their marriage crashing.
However, weeks after they debunked the claim in a video they shared, Nuella removed Tchidi’s surname “Chikere” from her Instagram bio. Her Instagram bio which also read “mother and wife” before was now changed to “Award-winning filmmaker, mum, CEO”.
Also, Chikere took to his Instagram account to share a cryptic post amid rumors that their marriage had crashed.
“Pain will leave you once it’s done teaching you. His grace has brought me this far, He is still with me,” he wrote.
Tchidi has three other children from his previous marriage to another actress Sophia Williams.
