Singer Portable apologizes to Kenyan Ladies over ‘hook up’ video
Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has apologized to Kenyans over the video he posted earlier.
A video that was shared on the internet shows the moment Portable embarrassed a Kenyan lady at an outdoor spot in Mombasa, Kenya.
In the video, the singer could be heard telling the lady who approached him while out with his friends, “we are not here for hookup. You can go, go with your big ny@sh“.
Following the video, Kenyan radio presenter, Maureen Imbai, popularly known as Black Cinderella, called him out on Monday for ’embarrassing’ the country and misusing Kenyan ladies.
Taking to her Instastory, Black Cinderella wrote;
“What you are doing in country is embarrassing Kenya worldwide. First of all, you are always talking your biza biza me me rubbish. Since dem born me I never seen a noisemaker that blow. We support your rubbish but not what you are doing to Kenyan girls and posting it online
The video portable posted online last night is embarrassing. It is an insult to we Kenyan girls. No matter how you feel Kenyan girls are cheap or quiet, when you over stay your welcome we will throw outside our country without Mercy”.
Making a U-turn a few hours later, the Zazzu crooner shared a video and apologised to Kenyans.
“We are not here for hookup. Stop asking men for money before sleeping with you. A man’s plan for you might be much more than what you charge.
“I’m sorry for everything. I only find the video funny, that’s all. I love Kenya girls because even without hearing my language, they keep dancing to my songs and keep showing love”, he wrote.
