Stephanie Okereke Linus is back! As she confirms two new film projects

Stephanie Okereke Linus has been off-set since her multi-award-winning 2014 film, ‘Dry’, co-produced by Jane Lawalata.

Stephanie Okereke Linus may just have another ace up her sleeve as she recently announced two new confirmed pan African projects; a feature film and a television series. The actress confirmed the new production in a recently shared Instagram post announcing an audition for the film and series.

“I’m casting for an international movie and TV series. I need people all across Africa for different roles. Also, I need a 12-year-old Albino boy. If you know anyone, let them apply,” Linus wrote.

The new projects will mark Linus’ anticipated return to the screens after nearly seven years. Details of the new projects are currently undisclosed, including if the actress will be producing as she did with her award-winning 2014 movie ‘Dry’. She got a lot of international attention with her 2014 film “Dry” which focused on the perils of child marriage in Northern Nigeria. She has since taken up the torch as a campaigner against gender-based violence.

In March, the star actress announced a gender-based violence awareness series of short films titled ‘Hey Woman’, which ran through the month to celebrate International Women’s Day. A thrilling 6-minute call-to-action monologue that addresses topics on sexual violence and oppression.

On her Instagram, the ace actress wrote:

“Hey Woman’ creatively addresses the various distressing thoughts that cripple a woman’s mind in the face of abuse and oppression. It is an anthem of encouragement and unity among women and men.”

The latest release of the series is aimed at spreading knowledge around sexual and reproduction health.
