“Still nobody’s ex” — Mercy Aigbe reacts to her ex-husband, Lanre Gentry’s marriage

Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Lanre Gentry, with whom she shares two children, recently tied the knot with his bride, Oluwabusayo, whom he says “makes marriage worthwhile”.

Gentry shared the news on his Instagram page with a picture of himself and his new wife.

He wrote: “In every journey of a man’s life, having a good wife by the side is a great blessing from God… Thank you for standing with me. Again, for understanding, supporting, persevering, tolerating, loving and above all being my prayer warrior and partner.

My small but mighty in power wife. My cool, calm and collected wife. My great planner and organiser. My ever jovial and a light to my path wife. You make loving, marriage and life are worthwhile for me to live in. Our journey has started Mrs Oluwabusayo Olanrewaju Gentry iyawo mi.”

Reacting to Gentry’s newly found love, Mercy Aigbe in a submit shared on Instagram wrote, “Nonetheless No person’s Ex”.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with the Punch, Aigbe begged her husband to sign the divorce papers.

She said, “Please, everyone should appeal to him to sign the divorce papers. He has even refused to accept them. We are still married and not yet divorced. The divorce is not yet finalised.”

However, the new groom has refused to state if the divorce has been finalised. When asked by Sunday Scoop if he has finalised the divorce process, Gentry simply said, “I don’t have anything to say about that. When a woman leaves one’s house for about seven years, that is an automatic divorce from the person (as far as I’m concerned). I am a businessman, so I don’t like drama.”

The now-estranged couple separated in 2017, and they’ve had a number of soiled fights on social media. The latest battle was on Father’s day when Mercy Aigbe attacked him for being a ‘deadbeat dad‘ and he retaliated, threatening to expose her ‘prostitution‘ and faux life.
