“Stop writing crap about me and leave me alone” – Hanks Anuku breaks silence on his mental health struggles

Veteran Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku has finally spoken in the debate about his mental health struggles.

In a video that has since gone viral, a man purported to be Hanks was seen roaming the streets in tattered clothes, thereby causing a stir online.

Reacting to the viral video, actress and filmmaker Shan George debunked the video, stating that the actor was on the set of a movie. She backed her claim with photos of him on the said movie set.

Other Nollywood colleagues, Adanma Luke and Nancy Iheme slammed Shan George for allegedly trying to hide Hanks’  illness, as they insist that the actor is struggling mentally.

Another video of Hanks drinking and talking to himself at a roadside bar had earlier emerged, confirming that the actor is indeed unwell.

Meanwhile, Emeka Rollas, president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) said the guild is currently investigating the viral videos.

The AGN president said it is still unknown if the man in the video is Anuku.

“We have no official reaction at the moment because we’re still investigating to know what really happened,” he said.

Following the controversial viral reports, Hanks has finally spoken up, stating that the videos are footages from a movie scene.

He also cautioned the public to leave him the hell alone and to desist from writing bad things about him.

He said,

““I just want to let you know that today is November 18, 2022, and I’m speaking live from my cabal. This is not an old video, it’s fresh from heaven above to the earth below. Find Jesus and leave me alone,” he said.

“My love for Nigeria is for real and from the most high God. But those who hate me can come out and confess and show me who they are. Stop writing crap about me. If your family don’t have respect for Nigeria, then you better go to Jesus Christ for deliverance. Just leave me alone, please.

“Tell all these motherf*ckers who write crap about me to stop writing about me and leave me alone. If they wanna act the movie, they can come to me. I’ve been on set and anyone using those pictures and videos on set to try and destroy my image, may the holy spirit forgive you.”
