Super Haaland strikes worldie as City eases past Southampton

Erling Haaland bagged a brace including a fantastic overhead kick, as Manchester City strolled past relegation-threatened Southampton with a 4-1 victory to mount pressure on table-toppers, Arsenal, who play Liverpool on Sunday.

The Norwegian lost City’s last EPl victory against rivals, Liverpool due to an injury, but returned like he never left, scoring a goal in each half of the game, but it was his second-half bicycle kick that blew off the roof.

The brace took his goal tally to 30 goals in 27 premier league games for City and 44 goals in all competitions this season.

Jack Grealish and Julian Alvarez were both on the scoresheet for the Citizens, while Sekou Mara pulled one back for the hosts.

Meanwhile, Kevin de Bruyne assisted Haaland’s first goal to take his assist tally to 100 in the EPL.
