Tinubu Lauds El-Rufai, Says his Leadership Skills will be Required in 2023

Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, has been urged by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, to abandon his plans to return to school after his tenure.

Tinubu added that El-Rufai’s leadership skills will be required when he wins the 2023 presidential election.

Speaking at the Kaduna Investment program titled “Building a resilient economy” held at the Arewa Hall, Kaduna, the state capital, on Saturday, the former governor of Lagos State showered praise on El-Rufai. He claimed that Nigeria needed a thinker like the governor of Kaduna State.

“As a visionary governor you are, we are proud to be associated with what you are doing. And the future is set up for Kaduna State and the country.

“I am begging El-Rufai not to run away for additional degrees after his tenure.

“If you leave me on this podium, I will continue to campaign here, begging El-Rufai not to run away from Nigeria in 2023 because we need your (El-Rufai) creativity, resilience and ability to turn things around at this critical time,” he added.

El-Rufai responded, “I vow to stay even on a part-time basis,” after hearing this.

The APC presidential candidate emphasised that “we will prioritise ease of doing business and assure continuous power supply and distribution,” when asked what he would do to revitalize the economy.
