Tinubu Set to tackle Nigeria’s challenges

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has stated that he is prepared to tackle the country’s challenges if elected in the 2023 general election.

At the Tinubu/Shettima Door to Door Group’s unveiling yesterday, the former governor of Lagos state emphasised that all Nigeria needs to solve its challenges is a focused leadership equipped with competence and capacity.

The event, organised by the House of Assembly Speakers of the APC’s the Northern States, was attended by major party figures, including Kashim Shettima, Tinubu’s running partner.

Speaking at the event, Tinubu pledged to make Nigeria a nation that people would be proud of in the future.

He said: “We have the confidence that we have what it takes. We have the courage, determination, perseverance and foresight to identify the problems of Nigeria and take them headlong and make a solution out of them for the prosperity of your children. We will guarantee tomorrow jobs for your grandchildren and the progress of tomorrow.”

According to Tinubu, APC is working hard to go into the polls with the sole aim of winning and succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

“All we we are doing is strategising, calculating and organising ourselves to confront the challenge before us.

“We are the party of progressives ideas. We want a good education for our children, a good development for Nigeria, prosperity for this country, and agriculture and agro-allied projects to be embarked upon.

According to Tinubu, the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, which he defined as a party “still grappling with its leadership,” poses no threat to the ruling party.

He asserted that the APC would always be in front of the PDP and would continue to be a party of thinkers and doers.

“We are not just the one to haul abuses and insults at our rivals party; we don’t need it. We are smarter. We are brilliant, and we are courageous. We are not like them.

“They spent 16 years and forgot that there is a railway infrastructure that can do haulage, human carriage, animal husbandry and food carriage from across the length and breadth of the country,” Tinubu said.

He urged the PDP to wait for the election day in 2023 to see the defeat awaiting it.

Tinubu commended the organisers for the honour through their donations and contribution.

“You make life easier for us, no ‘sisi’  is demanded from us. Vehicles provided, logo  unveiled, confidence boosting measure established, forward – looking and hope rekindled. This is  good for the prosperity of our country.”
